Apex Legends: Season 12.1 - Drop Off Arena

This arena holds a special place in my heart, not only as a full nighttime map but also the first map I've been fully responsible for as a lead environment artist. Leading a team of 3 amazing artists (Adam, Irene, and Zane) and collaborating with many people from different disciplines, we have created one of the most iconic arenas yet! From design to the finished product, we put our heart and soul into very tiny details. We really hope you enjoy this as much as we do~ 😊

My main responsibilities on the map were:
• Clean and break up all the designer mesh into different zones, and spots potential art / lighting / gameplay issues
• Setup asset / Material Library for easy reuse
• Research and create a detailed Miro board base on the original style guide
• Update the old excel template and rough-in all the time estimates for each zone and assets
• Set up Look-Dev / slice of life to ensure overall quality
• Work with artists to make sure the proxies are spot on and provide feedback daily
• Modeling / Texturing: The central converter belt area, 2 of the iconic divided walls on both sides, the distribution center, both side wing corridors.
• Support Lighting / FXs / Skybox creation
